Alapagos is ruled by three main factions that protect the world from chaotic dimensional portals while also vying for their own political control.

A loose rebellion/refugee collective with multiple bases/hideouts scattered across Alapagos, largely made up of otherworlders and outcasts.

Kingdom of Pereboom

A monarchy with a organized military force, set on floating islands that drift across Alapagos.

A strictly-hierarchical society, with extreme deference to their notions of the laws of nature.
